MOUNT PARNASSUS
In Greek
mythology,
the mountain home, in Delphi, Greece, of the nine muses of
the ancient world.
The Cave on the lower slopes was the
cave from which the famous "oracles" were delivered.

Three kilometres north of the village of Magaliesburg on
the main Krugersdorp-Rustenburg road, Parnassus Farm is situated
on the banks of the Magalies River in a scenic pass through the Witwatersberg
Mountains. The farm is located less than 100
kilometres west of Johannesburg and consists
of 250 acres of unspoilt natural land.
Parnassus Farm has been in operation since 1984, as a venue hosting adult and
school groups of
all kinds, but
particularly school groups from St.Benedict's
College, Bedfordview, and the
St.Benedict's Preparatory School: Conferences, Maths and Admaths Camps, other Academic Camps, Confirmation
and other Religious Camps and Retreats, sports groups, cubs and
scout groups, leadership camps and social outings.
The venue now caters, in addition, for weddings,
twenty-firsts, birthdays etc.
Magnificent facilities opened in 2009 include: large
dining-hall and kitchen, new conference rooms, recreation room,
dormitories and chalets as well as a 25-metre swimming pool.

Centre now consists of:

banquet/lecture hall and two 28-seater
break-away Conference Venues.
b) Eight
up-market fully-equipped Self-catering Chalets
(all with
their own DSTV channels!);
d) Separate Girls' and Boys'
Dormitories catering for
school groups.
c) Kitchen and large Dining Hall
e) Swimming Pool; Sports Field; Obstacle Course; Camping
facilities
